Production line sand table model production case


1、 Project Background

To visually demonstrate the entire process of concentrated juice production and help customers gain a deeper understanding of production line layout and equipment functions, we have created a high fidelity sand table model based on a real concentrated juice factory at a scale of 1:50, with a fidelity of 90%. The focus is on presenting the production process layout, equipment form, and scene details.


2、 Material selection

Main frame: The base frame is built with solid wood panels to ensure the overall load-bearing stability of the model. The surface is covered with blue acrylic panels to simulate the factory floor, and the edges are divided into safe areas with yellow warning tape stickers.

Equipment production: Core equipment such as cleaning machines, crushers, evaporative concentrators, etc. are carved and molded from ABS plastic, and observation windows are made of transparent acrylic boards; The pipeline system is connected by bending 0.8mm diameter brass wire to simulate the material conveying path.


Scene decoration: Use simulated grass to lay green spaces around the factory area, and decorate the environment with micro plastic trees (3-5cm in height); 1: 50 scale dolls (dressed in blue workwear) and yellow forklift models are placed next to the production line to recreate the real production scene.


3、 Production process

(1) Base and layout planning

Scale according to the actual CAD drawings of the factory and draw equipment positioning lines on the solid wood base to ensure that the functional zones of the cleaning area, juicing area, concentration area, filling area, etc. are consistent with the real factory.

Cut the blue acrylic board to match the size of the base, reserve equipment installation holes when pasting, and use a black marker to draw the direction of the ground pipeline.


(2) Core equipment production

Cleaning machine: ABS plastic is carved into a drum shaped body, with simulated spray holes drilled on the surface. Silver reflective stickers are pasted inside, and a micro motor is installed on the outside to drive the drum to rotate slightly (without power, only for static display).

Crusher: restored with a toothed blade structure, the stator and rotor parts are overlaid with gray ABS plates, and the rack details are presented by hand carving. A blue conveyor belt model is installed at the bottom.

Evaporative concentrator: Multiple layers of stainless steel cylindrical tanks are stacked together, with a silver exhaust pipe installed on the top. Blue liquid level markings are pasted on the side of the tank to simulate changes in liquid level during the concentration process.

Filling equipment: Transparent acrylic filling head, matched with white plastic bottle model below, conveyor belt made of gray rubber strip, with black anti slip pattern printed on the surface.


(3) Detail processing

Pipeline system: After the brass wire is bent according to the actual direction, it is sprayed with silver metallic paint, and the interface is wrapped with silver aluminum foil to simulate flange connection.

Identification system: Cut blue acrylic board into 1.5cm × 3cm identification plates, laser engrave equipment names (such as "Multi effect evaporator" and "UHT sterilizer"), and paste them next to the corresponding equipment.

4、 Post processing and coloring

Equipment coloring: The main equipment is coated with silver matte self-adhesive paint, and after drying, the edges and corners are lightly sanded with fine sandpaper to present a metallic oxide texture; According to functional differences, some tank type equipment is sprayed blue (such as mixing tanks) and gray (such as filtration equipment).

Scene aging: Lightly brush dark gray paint on the surface of the conveyor belt, equipment base, and other parts to simulate stains after long-term use; Wipe the acrylic board on the ground with alcohol to create slight scratches and enhance its realism.

Lighting arrangement: Install micro LED beads (external 5V power supply, customer can control the switch) at key nodes such as concentrators and sterilization equipment, and display the equipment's operating status through acrylic windows.


5、 Final presentation effect

The overall size of the model is 2m × 1.2m, which fully reproduces the 12 processes from raw material cleaning to finished product filling. The equipment layout is consistent with the real factory. Through metal textured equipment, simulated pipeline connections, and vivid scene decorations, customers can intuitively feel the smoothness of the production line and the synergy of the equipment, as if they were in a real factory site. The bottom of the model is equipped with a dust-proof glass cover, and a nameplate is installed on the side to indicate the project name and production date, which has both display and collection value.
