I. Project Preparation Phase
1.1 Materials and Tools List
Main Materials: ABS sheets (1mm/2mm thickness), PVC pipes (diameter 3-5mm), 3D-printed resin parts (complex components such as the bridge and radar)
Tools: Precision hand saw, utility knife, file set, 0.3mm drill bit, Tamiya glue (green cap/white cap), digital caliper

Reference Materials: Official three-view drawings of the Liaoning, historical imagery
1.2 Scale Determination
Recommended scale: 1:350 (total length approximately 62cm), balancing detail representation and construction difficulty. Special notes:
Flight deck angled deck section inclination: 7.5°
Bow ski-jump deck elevation angle: 14°
Right-side bridge protruding structure (widest point extends 1.2cm beyond the deck)
II. Main Structure Construction
2.1 Hull Construction
Keel fabrication: Cut 12 transverse bulkheads from 5mm poplar plywood, maintaining a strict 5.3cm spacing between sections
Hull plating: Soften 1mm ABS sheet with a heat gun and wrap around the keel, focusing on the curved transition of the bulbous bow
Deck Laying: Laser-cut 0.8mm rubber sheets to simulate anti-slip patterns. The deck centerline must reserve four mooring line grooves (spaced 9cm apart)
2.2 Island Assembly
Layered Construction: Constructed in four sections (lower bridge deck, phased array radar deck, funnel deck, mast deck)
Detail Enhancement:
Use etched plates to depict the 346-type radar array grid.
Drill 0.3mm × 36 holes for the exhaust vents on the top of the funnel.
Add PE parts to create the gangway and safety net.
III. Detail Enhancement Techniques
3.1 Aircraft Configuration
J-15: Use 3D-printed parts
Helicopter: The Z-8 helicopter requires adjusting the rotor angle to a 5° forward tilt
Deck markings: Use water decals to reproduce the yellow markings
3.2 Weathering Treatment
Rust effects: Use AV paint to simulate rust stains on the ship's drainage ports
Deck wear: Dip a sponge in XF-16 matte aluminum color and apply it to the landing area
Smoke treatment: Use Tamiya smoke gray pastel to create exhaust trails behind the island
