Material selection and basic forming

The main body is laser cut with 3mm thick ABS board, and the chassis and robotic arm joints are reinforced with brass rods to enhance structural strength. The solar panel is made of 0.5mm acrylic sheet, with a gold reflective film pasted on the surface to simulate the real material. The wheels are made of customized silicone tires, with stainless steel core shafts embedded inside to ensure rotational flexibility.

Split assembly process

Main body splicing: ABS board components are bonded with chloroform solvent, and the joints are filled with atomic ash and polished flat, retaining the original angular features of the vehicle body

Mechanical arm assembly: 6 movable joints are connected by micro bearings, and the end tools are made of etched pieces, achieving tool replacement function through magnetic attraction

Antenna and mast: 0.3mm copper wire bent into shape, top ball made with drip glue process, surface sprayed with matte black paint to reduce reflection

Aging treatment and coloring

Basic coating: The chassis is sprayed with rust red paint, the main body is coated with matte metal gray as a base, and the edges of the solar panel are treated with gradient gold

Detail depiction: dry scanning technique enhances the wear marks of the robotic arm, and uses oil paint to mix with Martian dust color to spray on the concave parts of the car body

Scene restoration: Chassis adhesive resin simulates Martian soil particles, and the tire side is sanded with sandpaper to create a lunar surface texture
