Case study of making a model of energy storage container with illuminated lights

The model of the energy storage container that can be illuminated in this production is based on real energy storage equipment. Through modular technology and detail processing, it achieves a restoration degree of about 90%, focusing on presenting the appearance features and lighting function.
Production process: Layered modular assembly
The model adopts a layered production method of "basic framework+functional modules". First, build a load-bearing base with lightweight wooden boards in proportion, and then independently manufacture modules such as container body, top heat dissipation structure, and internal battery pack area. For example, the container body is individually shaped with reserved heat sink positions on the top; Internally, hollow partitions are used to divide the battery stacking space; Additional details such as external lifting rings and cooling fan covers. After all modules are completed, assemble the main body and box first, then embed the internal structure, and finally install accessories such as heat sinks, fixing them layer by layer to ensure stability and coordination.
Material selection: Balancing texture and functionality
The main body is made of lightweight wooden boards as the frame, and the outer wall of the container is made of PVC board that imitates metal gray. The surface is pressed with anti slip patterns to simulate industrial coatings; The internal battery pack area is separated by a semi transparent white acrylic sheet, which vaguely displays the stacking feeling of the batteries; The heat sink is manually bent with thin copper sheets to preserve processing marks and enhance realism; The lighting core is a hidden LED strip, pre embedded in the top (lighting), internal compartments (operation indicator lights), and gaps between heat dissipation fins (heat dissipation status lights). The wires are hidden through grooves on the back of the PVC board.
Post processing coloring: detail enhancement and restoration
Polish the surface of the material before coloring, spray industrial gray primer on the outer wall of the container, and then use dark gray to age the corners to simulate wear marks; Carving screw holes and handle positions on the door panel, and pasting self-made paper identification stickers. The internal battery compartment is sprayed with light blue semi transparent paint, and the heat sink is hand painted with gold pigment to enhance its texture. After the light on test, adjust the angle so that the top warm white light illuminates the contour, the internal cold blue light flashes regularly, and the radiator gap is dotted with dim light; Lightly apply shadows on the transparent partition with a black marker to enhance the three-dimensional effect of "device operation".
The final model has clear appearance details (from the lifting ring to the heat sink), presenting a "running" sense of technology after lighting up - top lighting, flashing internal indicator lights, and low light from the heat sink, with an overall restoration degree close to 90% of the real scene.
