Detailed explanation of the manufacturing process for equipment models in steel plants
1、 Material preparation and foundation
The skeleton construction uses 1.5mm thick ABS sheet as the main frame material, and the steel structure outline of the factory building is precisely cut by a laser cutting machine. Use industrial grade AB adhesive for bonding to ensure that the strength of the joint meets the load-bearing standard. Especially in the converter area, a double-layer reinforcement structure is adopted to simulate the support system of real equipment.
The main equipment for equipment forming, such as blast furnaces and continuous casting machines, uses 3D printing technology to produce prototypes, and the surface is polished with sandpaper (400 mesh → 800 mesh → 1200 mesh grading treatment) to eliminate layer patterns. Key components such as furnace nozzles and rollers are machined with brass turning to preserve their metallic texture.
2、 Pipeline system production
The layout of the main pipeline is restored to the factory pipeline network at a scale of 1:50
Energy pipeline: 8mm diameter copper tube hot bent into shape
Dust removal pipeline: gray PVC pipe with engraved weld seam texture
Hydraulic pipeline: red silicone hose with metal joint
Detail enhancement adopts etching process to produce micro components such as pipeline supports and flanges. Each support is individually drilled and fixed with 0.3mm copper wire to ensure compliance with the mechanical distribution of the real pipeline.
3、 Surface treatment process
Basic coloring is sprayed in three layers using a fountain pen:
Primer: Grey water filled soil to fill minor defects
Main color: Industrial matte paint (Pantone color card matched with original equipment)
Protective layer: Matte transparent paint
The aging treatment adopts the technique of "dry sweeping+stain washing":
Use silver dry sweep at the edges and corners of the equipment to highlight wear and tear
Use brown stain solution to show oil stains at pipeline joints
Simulating the deposition of iron oxide scale on the ground with powder paint
4、 Dynamic effect integration
The lighting system embeds LED cold light sources in the steelmaking area:
Using orange LED to simulate molten steel at the converter mouth
The control room adopts a blue LED array
Install magnetic detachable lighting in the aisle
Install micro motors in key parts of the transmission demonstration:
The roller conveyor of the continuous casting machine can actually rotate
Manual push-pull mechanism set for overhead crane slide rail
Dust removal fan blades can rotate
