Preparation of materials and tools

Using ABS plastic board as the main frame, balancing lightweight and structural strength. The wing skin is made of 0.3mm thick transparent acrylic sheet, which is softened by a hot air gun and covered on the wing beam to form a streamlined surface. The landing gear is hand forged with brass wire, and the rivets are cut from copper pipes with a diameter of 0.8mm. The surface treatment uses a mixed system of Tiangong enamel paint and water-

Core manufacturing process

Piece by piece assembly: The body adopts a "sandwich" layering method. First, the keel frame is assembled, and then the skin panels are pasted layer by layer. The seams of each layer are seamlessly bonded with chloroform solvent. After bonding the hatch cover with UV glue, polish it to a transparent state with 4000 grit sandpaper.

Detail carving: Use a 1mm diameter tungsten steel milling cutter to manually carve the heat dissipation grille, and carve the air inlet pattern with a 0.5mm engraving knife at a 45 degree angle, maintaining a depth of 0.2mm per millimeter.

Dynamic balance: The propeller components are subjected to dynamic balancing and weight distribution on the motor test bench, and the speed deviation is controlled within ± 3rpm by adding or removing weight lead plates.

Artistic post-processing

Outdated technique: Using the "dry sweeping method", first use a silver base color as a base, then layer by layer stack rust colored pigments such as earthy yellow and ochre, and finally use a cotton swab dipped in oil painting black powder to wipe the raised areas.

Transparent effect: The cabin glass is sprayed with Krystal Clear transparent adhesive in three times, with a drying interval of 15 minutes between each time, resulting in an optical effect with a refractive index of 1.5.

Battle damage simulation: After locating the wing bullet hole with a 1mm drill bit, burn a thin copper wire red through the plastic, and then decorate the edge with a carving knife to create metal tear marks.
